Altenew Educator Certification Program: All About Layering 3

Hello Everyone!

Welcome to my Crafty Corner.  I was recently accepted to the Altenew Educator Certification Program.  I am excited and honored to have been chosen as a participant.

Today I am sharing my first project inspired by Altenew Academy's class "All About Layering 3" class, offered by Lydia Evans. We learned how to use the layering stamps with a clear stamping block to create beautiful flowers.  Lydia offered many tips, including utilizing Altenew's layering guide, that were very helpful.

I had so much fun stamping that I made enough flowers and leaves for two projects!

Vintage Roses was my first Altenew purchase and my first layering stamp set. It was only natural that I would choose this set for my first (and second) project submission.

All three cards were created with the same supplies.

Altnew Vintage Roses Stamp set/dies
Altenew Flowers of Friendship Stamp set/dies
Altenew A2 White Card Bases
Altenew Gold Brushed Cardstock
Altenew Clear Gem Sparkles
Shimmer Card Stock (Lawn Fawn)
Various Dye Ink Pads (Catherine Pooler)
Neenah White Cardstock
Rectangle Frame Dies (Simon Says Stamp)
Versaclear Black Ink pad
Clear stamping block

Stamped several images from the Vintage Roses Stamp Set with CP Inks and die cut.

With my paper trimmer, I cut three panels (4 1/4 x 5 1/2) from the brushed gold cardstock. I die cut the rectangle frame dies from the middle of each panel as the card design doesn't require the entire gold panel.

I adhered the gold panels to the card bases.

I cut three 4" x  5 1/4"  panels from shimmer cardstock and adhered to each card panel and attached the gold rectangles.

I stamped the sentiments in black ink on white cardstock and adhered to the card.

Embellished with the clear gems.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by.
