Hello Everyone!
Welcome to my Crafty Corner.
Today's card is inspired by Altenew Academy's "Beautiful Details" class, offered by Marika Rahtu.
In this class, Marika demonstrates several ways to add the details that can take a card from basic to elegant. Her coloring style and attention to detail is amazing. I watched the lessons several times before making my card.
When I think about beautiful details, embossing powder immediately comes to mind. It is magic watching the powder melt and change color in just a few minutes.
Today's card features Altenew's Fairy Tale Floral's Stamp, Die and Stencil Set. I chose this set because it has a nice outline stamp, which stands alone beautifully. Here is what the image looks like with only ink blending. I could have used this image as is, but the class is about adding details to bring the image to the next level.
I stamped the image with Altenew's Obsidian Pigment Ink. I wanted a crisp black outline to contrast with the gold embossed details added in the next step. I stamped and die cut the image prior to ink blending with stencils.
This set has stamps that add details to the florals and leaves. I stamped the details with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with gold embossing powder.
Next, I prepared an A2, side folded card base. I used the coordinating die to partially die cut the large floral image right onto the card base. I stamped the floral image on the inside of the card base and heat embossed with gold embossing powder. I completed the card base with heat resistant clear acetate and heat embossed the sentiment right on the card front. Additional details added with a white gel pen.
Adhere the floral image to the partially die cut area of the card base, added some bling and called it done.
Thank you for stopping by today. Below is a list of supplies used in today's card.
