Hello Everyone!
Welcome to my Crafty Corner.
Today's card is inspired by Altenew Academy's "Color Your Day" class offered by Therese Calvird. In this class, Therese teaches us how to draw inspiration from items we see in everyday life. Inspiration can be found in clothing, dishes, tea cups, wall paper, stone walls or floors, a color challenge and many other things.
Altenew sponsors a monthly Inspiration challenge. Therese is this month's Challenge Host! I was drawn to the rich, fall colors of this month's challenge; purple, orange and green. Fall is my favorite time of year. We live in the country so we see the beauty of the fall as the leaves change color.

Instructions
Die Cutting/Prep
- 4 A2 size card bases, set aside
- cut 2 each - 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 panels from orange, purple and light green cardstock
- die cut 1 panel each - orange, purple and light green with the Zero Waste Autumn Leaves Die
- Separate all leaves by color and place on the sticky mat
- With the mini ink bending tool, apply ink to the die cuts as follows: Crimson to orange; Andromeda to purple; Oak Moss and Mossy Meadow to light green. Ink blend the edges of the leaves in different places to add interest and dimension
- With the mini ink blending tool, add small amounts of gold pigment ink to the leaves
- I didn't apply ink to the smaller die cuts as the color variation adds to the overall design
- set all the leaves aside to work on the backgrounds
- die cut the ornamental lantern layering die from brushed gold cardstock
- glue pieces together with liquid glue
- set aside
- die cut the sentiment - "just a note" from brushed gold cardstock
- die cut the shadow from vellum
- glue the sentiment to the vellum shadow piece
- set aside
- Cut a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 panel from Brushed Gold Cardstock
- adhere to A2 card base
- trim the purple panel (from the panels we set aside earlier) to 4" x 5 1/4
- set up the better press
- place the Rustic Burlap Press Plate to the bottom better press plate
- apply Antique Gold Pigment Ink to the Press Plate
- attach the purple panel to the top plate
- run through die cut machine
- let the ink dry or heat set and adhere to the brushed gold panel/base
- place the lantern die off center, adhere with liquid glue
- arrange and glue down the leaves. add dimension by using foam squares to pop up some of the leaves.
- use the betterpress to "print" the sentiments onto colored cardstock with ink - any sentiment from the Lovely Flowers Press Plates will work fine.
- trim the sentiments to size
- add sentiment to above card
- set aside the remaining 3 sentiments to use on the bonus cards.
- cut another purple panel 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 - adhere to A2 card base
- adhere the orange and green panels (set aside earlier) each to A2 card bases
- adhere the purple negative panel to the green base
- adhere the orange negative space panel to the purple base
- cut a panel of brushed gold cardstock and adhere to A2 card base
- cut the orange panel (we set aside earlier) to 4" x 5 1/4
- we are going to use the green negative space as a stencil - lay the panel over the orange cardstock and apply Mayan Gold Shimmer Relief Paste through the "Stencil". Set aside to dry.
- Adhere the dry panel to the brushed gold card base
- decorate the cards with the leftover leaves and add sentiments
- add gems
Wow! You had a lot of fun with this color palette! Love all the spatters!
